About Charli

Hi I'm Charli,

I always thought freedom was the ultimate goal.

Adventure, success, adrenaline, more money, more movement.

One-way tickets, yacht seasons, the next big high.

On paper, I was “living the dream.”

Inside, I was burnt out, anxious, and quietly falling apart.

It took my body breaking, my skin screaming, and a wild awakening in the forests of Brazil to learn:

True freedom is not something external to chase,

it’s something we claim from within.

And that’s why I do this work.

I’m on a mission to empower you to rise into the fullest, freest expression of who you are -

  • so you can stand tall in truth, trust in your fire,

  • and create a life that feels unstoppable, alive, and fully yours.

Because when one woman rises, rooted in her truth,

she lights the way for others.

Roots Before Wings

I could hear the whispers too.

I could hear the calls.

That quiet knowing that the life I was living wasn’t my destination: I ignored them – for years.

Looking back now I can see the whispers started much earlier.

By 19, I was already burnt out. Studying hard, achieving, and quietly carrying a weight I didn’t yet understand. I didn’t have the language for it then.

I just knew I needed out.

I followed that call to the mountains

Snowboarding became my first love. The first place I ever felt true joy, true freedom, wind in my hair, alive in my body.

I got my wings young.

I learnt to cook in the mountains, living the dream in the winter.

But every summer I returned to London and fell back into the grind.

Office jobs, clock-watching, the 9 to 5 slog.

As the months went by, I felt the life drain out of me.

It was like living two different selves: the one who felt free, and the one who felt stuck.

Eventually, I swapped the office for the ocean.

Charli on Yacht
Yach and sunset

After working exclusively as a private yacht chef for many years, I made it to the top. Being flown around the world, cooking in exotic places, constant movement, endless motion.

I was always chasing the next “high” telling myself, just one more season, one more job.

On the outside it looked like freedom.

But inside, behind the smiles and the stories, I was burning out.

Still running.

Successful, but running empty.

Full of movement, but disconnected from myself.

What looked like ‘living the dream’ was really another place to hide.

I used to rebel against the idea of roots.

Stillness scared me. Stability felt like a cage almost as heavy as the armour I’d put up around myself.

I didn’t know how to nourish myself or how to feel safe in my own skin.

The whispers were there long before I understood them.

When The Body Speaks

My body had tried to slow me down for years.

I broke my leg, then my arm, each time I was forced into an unbearable stillness.

Instead of listening, I pushed harder.

Kept moving, kept escaping into the next season, the next job, the next version of “freedom.”

Mid Yachting career at 28 my Saturn return hit.

My inner pain was exploding on my face.

My face was screaming the truth I had been running from:

something deep inside needed care, attention, nourishment.

Trying to “fix” it, I found myself in the South of France, lying on a healer’s table.

Hungover. Exhausted. Still marinated in wine from the night before.

A stranger placed crystals on me and shared kind words I didn’t know how to receive.

It was weird. Unexpected.

But something softened.

It was the first time I felt fully seen. I started to come back to myself.

From there, the unraveling began.

I began listening to my body.

I started seeing my symptoms—acne, exhaustion, anxiety, as messages, not enemies.

I began to slow down.

To grow roots.

The universe wasn’t punishing me.

It was trying to get me to listen.

Brazil: The First Awakening

One Hackney summer evening, in a gong bath,

I received a message that landed with a clarity I hadn't experienced before.

It made no sense on paper, but
I knew in my bones it was time.

Shortly after, I was on a flight to Brazil.

For three months, I immersed myself in indigenous traditions, plant medicine, and spiritual ceremony.

I cried.
I laughed.
I purged.
I detoxed my pain.

I found a connection to something greater,

far bigger than just me.

Charli's Brazil Nature Connection

For the first time, I stopped chasing and I started dancing with life instead.

Ceremony gave me my voice.
Community gave me
a mirror.
Nature gave me
rhythm.

Brazil had opened something I could not close again.

The In-between

What followed wasn’t a clean break or straight line.

It was the tender and uncomfortable space where the known and familiar falls away but the new is yet to land.

I was exhausted - not just from work but from years of holding myself together.

Shortly after returning to the Yachts I lost a job that looked great on paper. It was a dream job and what I had been working towards for years. But inside, I knew the truth: I was sacrificing myself, my relationships, my soul.

I was living in a dream that wasn’t mine.

Letting go of a big salary felt terrifying.
But I knew this was the opportunity.

Fear had always been my armour.

Social drinking, overworking, self-sacrifice… it was all just a mask. But that armour was heavy.

Through this journey,

I began to alchemise it

Fear ⟶ courage.

Burnout ⟶ boundaries.

Pain ⟶ power.

I faced the parts of myself that I’d abandoned for decades. I softened the armour I never realised I’d been wearing. I unwound the stories that kept me tangled in the past.

I sat with my inner child and finally listened.
I let go of who I thought I should be.

Through the spiral of healing, this messy, sacred and non-linear act, I reclaimed my creativity, my intuition, my feminine power

and a deep trust in my unfolding path.

I realised I had always been connected to something greater.

I just didn’t know how to listen.

True healing is when you face yourself honestly again and again. With courage. And the space and time to explore the full inner terrain.

The Rebirth

I stepped into my 40’s feeling lighter and more empowered than ever.

After hiking up Pedra Bonita barefoot at dawn, I stood at the top of the mountain with a heart full of love and gratitude for every version of myself that helped me navigate to this moment.

I celebrated me,

my voice,

and my journey.

Singing my first solo songs in a tapestry of seven languages to a beautiful dawn and rolling views over Rio de Janeiro, the city I now call home.

I’ve learnt that freedom doesn’t come from escaping life,

it comes from creating one you no longer need to escape from.

Choosing presence over performance, truth over exhaustion, self-trust over proving.

We were never meant to fit in – we are born to come alive.

To be the revolution

Because in a world built to keep us busy, small, and disconnected from our truth,

it’s revolutionary to slow down, take up space, and choose yourself.

The greatest privilege we have today is the opportunity to become who we truly are.

To use our time, energy, and resources to remember who we are beneath the noise.

Walk With Me

I’ve walked through the fire, the fog, and the forgetting,

so I can walk beside you as you rise.

You don’t have to wait until you feel ready.

You don’t need a perfect plan.

You need your next brave step.

And sometimes that step, is simply starting the conversation.

Answer Of Some Yoga Questions

How do you start yoga practice?

Begin with simple poses and gradually increase intensity as your body adjusts. It’s important to listen to your body and progress at your own pace.
